Donations and Fund Raising

We provide support to the Park in many ways. Volunteers give hundreds of hours of service each year by working at the Nature Center, selling Friends books and mechandise, updating signage, grooming cross country ski trails, doing Spring and Fall cleanup, chopping wood and more.

Recently, the Friends raised enough money to replace the Brachiopod Trail Boardwalk. The Friends also fund the Park Naturalist for the summer months.

Given the changes in funding by the State of WIsconsin for its Parks, we believe fundraising will continue to be an important part of our mission to help our Park. Donations, grants and membership dues are key fundraising outreaches and are critical to our continued success.

We also raise funds through the sale of merchandise and books in the Park Nature Center, the sale of memorial benches placed in the Park, and from special events  proceeds.
