Ski Trails Report 2-22-2021

About 3” new snow was packed and tracked this morning. Tracks are full depth with only a few thin spots on the Red trail along the lake.

During the ski season hikers and snowshoers are not allowed on groomed ski trails. However, with so many hikers and snowshoers out this year, which is a good thing, we are experimenting with sharing a portion of the groomed ski trail with hikers and snowshoers between the Nature Center and the 2nd beach access. This allows hikers access to the beach but caution is advised on the steps.

Also, a dedicated hiking/snowshoe trail is accessed from the Red Pine parking lot which is on County WD about 1 mile west of the main entrance to the park.
