Candlight Event

The Candleight Walk at the Whitefish Dunes State Park is scheduled for Saturday August 21, 2021 from 7:30PM - 9:30PM. Popcorn, Smores  and Lemonade will be provided at the shelter by the Friends of Whitefish Dunes. A Naturalist with a background in Astronomy will be onsite for viewing the stars as well. Trail monitors will be availble to assist our visitors on their walk.

The Friends need volunteers for the following activities:

• Set Up Candles/Bags and Popcorn Machine 3:30PM - 5:00PM (4 Volunteers)
• Candle Lighting 6:30PM - 7:00PM (2 Volunteers)
• Smores Prep 6:30PM - 7:00PM (2 Volunteers)
• Trail Monitors 7:30PM - 9:00PM (2 Volunteers)
• Shelter Fire Monitor & Smores 7:30PM - 9:00PM (3 Volunteers)
• Popcorn 7:30PM - 9:00PM (3 Volunteers)
• Lemonade 7:30PM - 9:00PM (2 Volunteers)
• Clean Up Trail Candles 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM (4 Volunteers)
• Clean Up Shelter 9:00PM - 10:00PM (3 Volunteers)

Don't forget All Volunteers please download and complete the Whitefish Dunes State Park Volunteer Form found on the top of the page and bring it with you when you Check In at the Nature Center
